Helsinki-based Oi! punk outfit The Bulldozer is unleashing a fierce new single titled „Kicking Grannies“. Formed in 2023, the band delivers a classic Oi! punk outburst in this latest track.
The song tells the story of older women being escorted by a rough-looking crowd to the pub for a game of bingo. The point of the track is that it’s not sharp-dressed skinheads causing trouble for grandmas, but rather powerful men in suits. „I’m not the one kicking grannies with my boots. Did you know most dangerous men wear suits?“ goes the key line of the lyrics.
The band previously explored themes of social inequality and „men in suits“ on their earlier Battle Scars EP. If you are a fan of the classic style of genre legends like Cockney Rejects, you can’t go wrong here.
