DFL present new EP along with music video Second Chances

Veteran Hardcore Punk band DFL released a new single, “SECOND CHANCES,” via SBÄM Records on April 3rd. The single is out along with a music video and precedes the release of their new full-length EP, “FUCK IT,” which will be released both physically and digitally on April 24th.

DFL formed in 1993 when Monty Messex decided to form a punk band with Beastie Boys’ Adam Horovitz and renowned skateboarder Crazy Tom Davis. The trio caught each other’s attention because they both came of age during the first wave of hardcore: In 1981, Messex had formed the hardcore punk band The Atoms, which also featured Izzy Stradlin (pre-Guns n Roses); Horovitz had started out in the early New York hardcore scene with Young and the Useless before joining the Beastie Boys during their first stint as a hardcore band; Crazy Tom was a seasoned skateboarder who came from the skatepark in Marina Del Rey.

Messex and Davis reunited in 2013 and released their first new material in 24 years, YRUDFL (SBAM Records), in 2021 to critical acclaim. The band now features Patrick Sullivan on bass and Snare Jordan on drums. The band has recorded new material with punk icon Fletcher Dragg (Pennywise), scheduled for release in 2025-2026 on SBAM Records.
