The California Bay Area scene has a fresh reason to turn up the volume. S.X.E. outfit Cross Checked has just unleashed their latest material, simply titled „Demo ’26.“ Following up on last year’s Away from Me EP, the band proves they are currently in top-tier form.

The new release features four hard-hitting tracks packed with energy and memorable female vocals: Unleashed, Cage, No Ambition, and Control. The entire project embodies a pure DIY spirit—guitarist Barrett Sako handled the recording and mixing, while vocalist Frankie Cerrato took charge of the visuals and cover art. Frankie’s uncompromising energy, well-known from her other project Whoreified, shines through in both her lyrics and her fierce delivery.
