WISDOM IN CHAINS RELEASE NEW SINGLE WHAT THIS MEANS. HARDCORE TAKES CENTER STAGE!

American hardcore veterans Wisdom In Chains are back with a new single, “What This Means,” taken from their upcoming album The Gospel. This time, they slow things down a little, delivering a street rock vibe with a strong melody and a chorus that sticks in your head. The song is all about hardcore shows and what they mean to the scene.

One of the biggest highlights is the guest appearance by Michael McColgan, known for his work with Dropkick Murphys and Street Dogs, and current frontman of The Bomb Squad. Wisdom In Chains reached out to him, and he was more than happy to get involved. His voice and distinctive style are a perfect fit for the new track.

The song also pays tribute to Sick Of It All. When Wisdom In Chains were writing it, they had frontman Lou Koller on their minds as he was fighting for his life. While on tour, the band played Step Down every night and dedicated it to Lou. They wanted to show their respect for a band that means so much to the entire hardcore scene, so Frankie included a mention of Sick Of It All in the new song. Sadly, Lou never got the chance to hear it.

This isn’t the first time Wisdom In Chains have paid tribute to their hardcore heroes. Their song “Chasing The Dragon” is a direct homage to Sick Of It All. And here’s another cool detail: the intro to the new single features Vinny Stigma of Agnostic Front, who kicks things off with a shout of “LET’S GO TO THE HARDCORE SHOW!”

And that’s exactly what “What This Means” is all about. The shows, the bands, the people, and the connections that make the hardcore scene what it is. Respect for those who came before us, including those who are no longer here, and a reminder of why it’s still worth going to shows and being part of it all.

součástí toho všeho.
