Remdik Unleashes New Album: „Potkany patria do diery“

The Slovak hardcore unit Remdik couldn’t have picked a more symbolic date for their latest release. Exactly on May 1st, 2026—a holiday for all „working classers“—their brand-new tracks emerged from the shadows in the form of an album titled „Potkany patria do diery“ (Rats Belong in the Hole). The record was released under the wing of the Brno-based label Kabinet Records, which has recently become a synonym for high-quality underground production.

Remdik returns in top form, confirming their reputation as a distinctive „unconventional family“ across ten tracks (including an intro). Musically and ideologically, the band draws from the aesthetics and worldview of old Boston and New York, resulting in the raw and energetic sound that is their signature. According to the band, the album is a unique response to what is happening within and around us—it is slightly idealistic, yet unafraid to touch the harsh reality of today. It was created thanks to those they love and those who piss them off.

Production and Visuals The recording was a fast-paced process; the entire album was recorded in just two days under the supervision of Tomy Veliký at the Futra club in Žilina. Final mastering was handled by Maciej Dzikiewicz from Poland’s Waiting Room Studio in Oświęcim. The visual side of the album, which underscores the rawness of the content, was created by the band’s resident artist, Ajshenka Sadiku.

Where to get the album? If you want to support this blast, you can order directly from the label at www.kabinetrecords.cz or email the band at remdik69@gmail.com. For digital enthusiasts, the album is available on Bandcamp and Spotify.

Stay tuned! We are currently preparing an extensive interview with Remdik, where we will discuss the details of the new album’s creation, their view on the current hardcore scene, and much more.
