British veterans Gimp Fist are back with a new album. „Take The Power Back“ was released in early June via the German label Sunny Bastards and features fifteen brand-new tracks. It is the band’s twelfth full-length studio album.

For more than two decades, Gimp Fist have been one of the mainstays of the British Oi! and street punk scene. Hailing from Darlington, the band has built a strong reputation not only in the UK but across Europe thanks to their mix of catchy choruses, melodic street punk, and lyrics focused on everyday life, friendship, and working-class pride.

According to the band, Take The Power Back brings together the various influences that have shaped Gimp Fist over the years. Alongside classic Oi! and street punk anthems, the album also incorporates elements of ska and reggae. Lyrically, it addresses the current economic situation, the struggles of the working class, and resistance to authoritarianism and fascism. The album includes tracks such as “History Repeats,” “Give Me A Reason,” and the title track “Take The Power Back.”
