If you follow the Quebec underground scene, the name ORAGE D’ACIER (Steel Storm) has surely caught your attention. This is a side solo project of one of the members of Esprit De Corps. These days, he has decided to unleash another dose of excellent music with a cold atmosphere.
Freshly recorded between May and June of this year in Montréal, the material offers a harsh look into the human soul and the disillusionment with modern reality. The new release comes out as a two-track single, delivering two straightforward anthems. The first one is an English-sung, melancholic yet angry affair titled „Days Gone By“, which takes aim at the illusions of youth, lost ideals, and the harsh awakening of everyday reality in a suit with a fake smile. The other side of the coin belongs to the raw, French-spoken track „Marche Ou Crève“ (Walk or Die), which drags you into a dark cycle of personal demons, alcohol-drowned nights, and a grim reality where one must choose whether to stand up or fall to the absolute bottom.
Both tracks are already fully available on the project’s Bandcamp as well as on all the usual streaming platforms. If you dig a raw, honest sound with a frosty Montréal atmosphere, you shouldn’t miss this one.
