Monty Neysmith, frontman and one of the founding members of legendary Symarip, has teamed up once again with Dutch band The Upsessions, and the result is the single The Vampire Bites Back. The Wild West and gunslingers from their previous release have been replaced by an equally cinematic theme: vampires and dark tales. The result is some mighty fine boss reggae and a 7-inch that no vinyl maniac should be without!
Released in mid-October 2026 via Aggrobeat Records, the record comes on 7-inch vinyl and features two tracks. The title track delivers the real deal: boss reggae with Monty Neysmith’s distinctive vocals and a sound straight out of the late sixties. On the flip side, we get “Dead Coyote (Version)”, an alternative version of “Fat Coyote”, with Neysmith taking over on keys.
The record was produced by Boss Capone, while the fantastic artwork by Malwina Siedlecka of Old School Design references Slaughter And The Dogs’ iconic late-seventies punk album Do It Dog Style.
Reggae, vampires, horror vibes and punk artwork? It might sound a little crazy, but this combination works bloody well!
