Bastardes from Gothenburg Release New EP

Swedish punk rockers Bastardes are back with a new release. Around a year after the release of their album No Glory, the band return with the three-track EP The Welfare Sessions, which was released on June 26 via the German label Sunny Bastards.

Formed in Gothenburg in 2018, Bastardes were never a band of newcomers. Their lineup features members of City Saints, Troublemakers, and The Liptones, and their experience shines through in every song. The band delivers catchy choruses, driving guitars, and authentic Swedish punk rock, combining strong melodies with a healthy dose of raw energy.

The EP was recorded and mixed at Welfare Sounds Studio, and all three tracks previously appeared on the compilation A Handful of Punk & Oi! Vol. 2. Now, however, they have been given a standalone release, allowing the songs to stand on their own and receive the attention they deserve.

If you’re into melodic Scandinavian punk with clear streetpunk roots and seasoned musicians behind it, The Welfare Sessions is definitely worth checking out. Bastardes continue to prove they still have plenty to offer.
