Asturian Wrath and Pride: Street Punk Outfit BRONCA Releases a 4-Track EP!

Hailing from the autonomous community of Asturias, BRONCA is back with brand new material. If you dig raw, militant, and melodic Southern-style street punk, you definitely need to check this out. As they proudly state on their Bandcamp: „Música fecha equí pa xente de la cai“—meaning music made right here, for the people of the streets. The band has just unleashed their new 4-track EP, serving fans an uncompromising dose of street punk with a deep historical and social message.

The new EP offers a diverse yet straightforward cocktail of themes. The opening track, „Pasaremos,“ which clocks in at over six minutes, clearly references the anti-fascist resistance during the Spanish Civil War and pays tribute to those who stood up against the Francoist rebels. The song „Last chance“ switches to English, bringing a slightly more personal, existential perspective on the obstacles we face in life.

The third track, „Like The Suffragettes,“ pays homage to the historical struggle of women for their rights, echoing the motto „Deeds, not words.“ The entire record is wrapped up by „Revienta,“ a gritty banger soaked in the Asturian dialect that transports the listener into dark coal mines, celebrating the solidarity and resilience of the working class during miners‘ strikes.

The release is currently available on Bandcamp. If you want to support this Asturian band or follow their next steps, check out their official Instagram. This is exactly the kind of honest, meaningful street rock ‚n‘ roll that is worth supporting and keeping alive. Support the underground!
