TOOTH & NAIL RELEASE THEIR DEBUT EP LIFE IN THE TOMB

A new band has appeared on the Berlin scene, and Tooth & Nail certainly don’t sound like they’ve come along just to cautiously test the waters. Four Greek musicians got together in Berlin, and the result is a seriously catchy mix of street punk, Oi! and hardcore.

Their debut EP Ζωή Εν Τάφω (Life In The Tomb) was released in mid-September and features four tracks. What makes it particularly interesting is that the entire record is sung in Greek, which is a rather unexpected sight in the context of Berlin’s underground scene.

Tooth & Nail are not the kind of band that need to spend ages explaining what they’re about. Hard guitars, punchy rhythms, pissed-off vocals and choruses made for shouting along – if you happen to be good at Greek, that is. This is exactly the kind of music that works best in a small club, with a bunch of troublemakers stomping along in front of the stage, ready to let off some steam.

The band also features musicians from several Greek bands, including Enochlisi, Ntelirio, Bad Movies and Pempti Kasta. If you’re into contemporary European street punk that takes something from hardcore while still keeping one foot firmly in Oi!, Life In The Tomb will probably be right up your street.

Four songs, Greek lyrics, Berlin and a serious dose of anger. Tooth & Nail have made their debut, and we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on them.
