The Circle Closes: Bad To Worse and On The Block Release Joint Split

The punk scenes in Pennsylvania and North Carolina are reporting an exciting musical connection. The hardcore punk / Oi! outfit Bad To Worse and Oi!/punk band On The Block have joined forces to release a split album in a „cassingle“ format.

According to social media updates, this release carries a very special personal meaning for both bands. Sascha from On The Block and Forrest from Bad To Worse grew up together and played in their very first band 30 years ago. This current split is a great, symbolic full-circle experience for them. And it’s honestly awesome when you and a friend from your teenage years still have so much to say to each other, still driven by the exact same love for music.

The record is available for purchase now on both bands‘ Bandcamp pages. The physical version will especially please collectors and music heads—the first press is out on stylish green cassettes and is limited to just 100 copies.

As for the digital version, Bandcamp holds exclusive rights for the first three weeks. The album won’t hit all other streaming services until June 12th.

Each band contributed two hard-hitting tracks to the split. On The Block’s side is titled Every Dog Has Its Day, while Bad To Worse’s side is called Where the Good Times Went.

Go give it a listen, support the bands, and if you’re the type of person who loves tapes, go grab one of those tapes!
