The Boojums pay tribute to Halifax legends

Canadian outfit The Boojums are dropping a new 7-inch that is a pure love letter to their musical roots. The single features two covers of essential tracks from 90s Halifax: „Scott Pilgrim“ by the cult icons Plumtree and „Karate Man“ by The Super Friendz.

With this record, the band pays tribute to the Nova Scotia scene that spawned names like Sloan or Thrush Hermit and fundamentally shaped their own musical taste. The fact that this is a true passion project is confirmed by the mixing duties being handled by Charles Austin of the aforementioned The Super Friendz.

Release date is May 15 via We Are Busy Bodies as Black 7″ vinyl (available digitally now).

If you love the original Plumtree, the band highly recommends checking out the Gillis sisters‘ current project –– @overnightband.

A must-listen for all fans of authentic Canadian indie rock!
