In 2025, the legendary Polish street-punk crew THE ANALOGS are celebrating three decades of existence. This isn’t just another anniversary—for my mates and an entire generation of skins and punks in the Czech Republic, this band is an ABSOLUTE CULT. Their legendary, formative performance at Antifest 2003 was a seminal moment that solidified the path for me and countless other budding troublemakers.
To mark the 30th anniversary, they haven’t just thrown out a typical ‚Best Of‘. Instead, they’ve put together an album: „Życie To Jest Gra“ (Life Is a Game). This is a deliberate, powerful statement: a collection of re-recorded tracks that the band felt were previously undervalued or simply didn’t get the exposure they deserved.
This isn’t just rehashing the past; it’s a vital move to BREATHE NEW ENERGY into the classic catalogue. As the band themselves put it, some tracks were „too early“ for the scene, while others got overlooked despite tackling themes that are fundamental to The Analogs‘ message: SOCIAL INEQUALITY, FRUSTRATION, and the relentless search for IDENTITY within the scene and the world.
The album dropped on September 27, 2025, and is out on all formats (LP, CD digipack, cassette, and digital) via Oldschool Records. The 10-track album features the title song “Życie To Jest Gra,” plus key tracks like “500 lat,” “Rozpacz,” and “Ostatnia kołysanka.”
If you follow these Polish titans, keep tabs on the hard-hitting Polish Oi! scene, or simply collect essential albums, this release demands your attention. This is a chance to hear the power and relevance of the songs fully realized, proving that the old anthems still hit the hardest when they’re given new life!
