Sometimes a good record slips under the radar and you only come across it months later. That’s exactly what happened with the debut album by Madrid Oi! band Tanke, released back on September 9, 2026 through Spanish label Tough Ain’t Enough Records. I only stumbled across it now, but it would be a shame to let it pass unnoticed.
The ten tracks include titles such as El Niño Resorte, Honor y Lealtad, Churros y Carajillos, El Oi! No Paga Las Multas and Por La Muerte O Por La Gloria. The album has a strong Madrid identity, which is also reflected in the artwork. The label describes the sleeve design as distinctly local, with a character of its own.
The record comes in a limited vinyl edition featuring a fold-out insert with all the lyrics and a band photo. It was released by Tough Ain’t Enough Records, a label with a solid catalogue of punk and Oi! releases from Spain and beyond.
The digital album is available on Bandcamp, while the vinyl can be ordered directly from the label. I may have found Tanke a little late, but there’s still time to catch up.
