Early May brought a fresh dose of music from Arizona’s own Paveway II. Right on May Day, the band dropped a double single, „Kodachrome“ and „Gang Gang,“ which are already out on Bandcamp and Spotify. Both tracks double down on what works so well for Paveway II—gritty energy and a driving punk attitude—but the synth-driven sound takes it to a whole new level, making the whole thing feel incredibly fresh.
„Kodachrome“ has a slightly more melancholic and atmospheric vibe, while „Gang Gang“ delivers a more direct punch with a high-energy, driving tempo. Together, they make a solid pair of tracks for anyone who likes to step out of the Oi! and punk box every now and then to hear something new and vibrant. If you’re into bands pushing the boundaries between modern punk and post-punk, you definitely shouldn’t miss this. Paveway II prove once again that they are a name well worth keeping on your radar.
