Krakow’s SKA Petarda drops new music video “Doc Martens Army”!

Ever since the turn of the millennium, when I first got my hands on the PolSKA Norma compilation on cassette, I’ve had a real soft spot for Polish SKA. If you feel the same, then this news is exactly for you: pure, high-octane ska with a punk-rock drive. The Polish powerhouse SKA Petarda from Krakow released their latest music video for the track “Doc Martens Army” on March 11th.

The band unapologetically describes their sound as “turboska.” Both the lyrics and the visuals are a celebration of the iconic boots with yellow stitching and pride in one’s roots, serving as an authentic tribute to the working class and the mods, punks, and skins subcultures.

The video was handled by the pros at Film n Roll, who managed to edit the clip in record time. It was filmed against the industrial backdrop of the Stalco Industries hall and at The Landmark Supper Club, which perfectly underlines the raw atmosphere of the whole track.

This single also serves as a great teaser for things to come—the band announced in the video description that we can soon expect a split CD titled “IV Rozbiór Małopolski.”

The clip is already making rounds on YouTube, and you can find the song on all streaming platforms. So, lace up your Docs, get sharp, and treat yourself to this ride from Krakow, because this is a real BLAST (PETARDA)!
