A year after the release of Gorilla Anthems, Kong Kong are waking up on the Island of Skulls, also known as Sweden. The time has come for another sacrifice…
Here we are with the continuation of a series we didn’t even know was going to become a series. Anyway, the new mini-LP Gorilla Anthems II – Not All The Stuff (But More) will be released on October 2nd via Gorilla City Records, and just like the first volume, it brings together material the band had previously released.
This time, the record collects songs from earlier EPs that didn’t make it onto the first Gorilla Anthems. The whole thing is rounded off with the exclusive track “Litany of Crises”, so even those who already have the previous Kong Kong releases will find something extra here.
Gorilla Anthems II comes pressed on banana-yellow vinyl, housed in a single-pocket LP sleeve with a printed insert. The pressing is limited to just 250 copies.
The record is once again released by Gorilla City Records in cooperation with TKO Records. Pre-orders are already open at the Gorilla City Records webstore.
And if you want to learn more about the Swedish kings of apes and punk rock, check out our extensive interview from last year, which we managed to conduct after a rather challenging capture operation, just shortly before a minor incident involving the Empire State Building.
