French band Nuits Blanches are getting ready to release their new album Hélas, due out at the end of October via La Vida Es Un Mus. If you’re into cold post-punk, cold wave, and a harder, rawer edge, this is definitely something worth checking out.
On the new album, the band combines prominent synths and a darker atmosphere with punk energy. It all fits together perfectly and feels completely natural. The electronic elements blend with hard guitars, straightforward drums, and a streetpunk feel. The result is a strange mix of darkness, melody, and a serious dose of energy. If I had to sum it up in one word, I’d say captivating.
Three tracks are already available to stream, two of which first appeared in a video a few months ago. Hélas will be released on regular black vinyl as well as a limited white vinyl edition. Both versions are available for pre-order through La Vida Es Un Mus and Bandcamp.
