The Belgrade-based band FITZ is currently one of the most active outfits on the European Oi! scene. Shortly after releasing the “SOLACE” single, they are back with a 10″ of the same name.

Don’t expect any revolution compared to their previous releases. These old dogs are doing the same old tricks – and that’s exactly what makes it so good. You get raw, straightforward Oi!, no posing and no unnecessary experiments. A bunch of skinheads weathered by life are sharing their experiences with you and serving up six new tracks in exactly the style I like FITZ to play.

SOLACE is another piece of evidence that FITZ have found their own identity and have no need to change it just to sound different from their previous record. Heavy guitars, simple melodies, anger, energy and, above all, authenticity. Just Oi! without all the unnecessary bullshit around it.

The new 10″ is released by Lionheart Records, and if you enjoyed their previous releases, there really isn’t much to think about here. Turn it up loud and ideally imagine yourself in some small, smoky club, surrounded by a crowd of bald heads and a few beers at the bar. That’s exactly where this music belongs.
