FIRST ATTACK Return With Their New Album More Sorrow

First Attack are back with a new release. The Canadian Oi! band from Vancouver, fronted by Greg Huff, are releasing their second record, More Sorrow. And that’s certainly something to be happy about. If there was one album that appeared on pretty much every Oi! Top Ten list of 2025, it was First Attack’s debut No Escape — and now we have the follow-up. The eight-track record is coming out on September 18th through the proven partnership of Longshot Music and TASM Records. The first album has already seen several represses, so it’s clear that First Attack are doing something right — just like all of Greg’s other projects, including The Glory Stompers, The Lancasters, Subway Thugs, Alternate Action and Bishops Green.

Based on the songs released so far, First Attack are continuing with what worked so well on their debut — melodic and catchy Oi!, brilliantly written songs, vocals that carry a slightly melancholic feeling, prominent guitar lines, mid-tempo rhythms and choruses that practically beg to be shouted along to by a whole crowd.

The vinyl will be released in several limited variants.

First Attack clearly have no intention of slowing down, and More Sorrow looks set to be another major step forward for a band currently sitting right at the top of the contemporary Oi! scene. I’m going to put No Escape on one more time and get ready for the arrival of the new gospel.
