D.C. Doom: Corvo Unleashes „La Gran Plaga“

The D.C. scene has birthed its share of legends, and Corvo is here to prove that the present is just as filthy and loud. Nearly four years after their Cortadas EP (2022), the five-piece returns with a full-length onslaught titled „La Gran Plaga“ (The Great Plague), released in mid-April 2026.

The new record features nine uncompromising tracks, blending hardcore-punk ferocity with a dark, almost apocalyptic atmosphere. With song titles like „Plaga Maldita“ and „Nuevo Sueño Americano,“ it’s clear that no „sunshine and rainbows“ are on the menu. Corvo bets everything on rawness, jagged guitars, and vocals that radiate pure desperation and rage.

The band serves up material that works perfectly as a soundtrack to street riots, a plague outbreak, or a nuclear winter. If you’re into a dirty sound, Spanish-language punk, and a relentless D-beat kick, this album is a must-have.

You can stream and purchase the entire record on their Bandcamp, where they still stick to the „name your price“ model. So don’t be a cheapskate—support this filthy ride!
