Texas-based outfit Bullshit Detector is back on the radar. On February 1st, they unleashed a fresh demo single titled „Downward Spiral,“ serving as the first taste of their upcoming full-length album, Built for War.

If you aren’t familiar with this crew yet, Bullshit Detector started as a pandemic project with the goal of blending the raw grit of Oi! punk with the dark aesthetics of post-punk. The result is a specific, highly recognizable signature sound that sets them apart.

The new track „Downward Spiral“ stays true to their style – lyrically diving into those moments when life starts falling apart and „kicks you while you’re already down.“ The band has a long-standing reputation for tackling heavy themes, occasionally offering a glimmer of hope, though not too much of it.

While the version currently on streaming platforms is labeled as a demo, it still packs a massive punch. According to the band, the final version of the single and the full album should arrive within the next few months.
