The Polish ska-punk scene is making its presence known, and it’s doing it loud! After long preparations that began back in early 2024, a joint project featuring four bands titled „4 Rozbiór Małopolski“ is finally out. As the artists themselves say—good ideas need time to mature, and this wait has definitely paid off. The record brings together a powerhouse lineup: Kompromitacja, Skapetarda, SKAcowani, and ADHD Syndrom.
You can look forward to a total of 16 tracks, with each band contributing four „notches“ to the record. This „musical battle,“ as they playfully call the album, was visually framed by the brilliant graphic artist Radomił Poziom Gomółka, whose work gives the entire project a top-tier look.
For me, this compilation is a total throwback to my teenage years, when I used to spin my cassette of the legendary Polish compilation Polska Norma over and over again. That was probably the moment I developed a lifelong affection for the Polish ska scene. I generally love compilations anyway—the whole concept of showcasing a local scene on a single record is something I find incredibly cool.
