From San Diego, California comes a band that is definitely worth keeping an eye on. TRAXX combine streetpunk, Oi! and rock’n’roll, and after a few years of playing and several digital releases, they are finally getting their songs onto vinyl. Their debut self-titled album TRAXX is coming out in September 2026 via Longshot Music and TASM Records.
Over the past few years, the band have been releasing their songs in small doses, digitally, and have also appeared on several compilations. Now, though, the time has come to put their material onto a proper physical release. I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything they’ve put out so far, and the singles from the new record sound great as well. In my opinion, TRAXX have what it takes to become a much more well-known name in the future, and this album is their first big step in that direction.
The album features eight tracks. Musically, they sit somewhere between streetpunk, Oi! and rock’n’roll. I don’t usually like comparing bands to other bands, but if you mix Alternate Action, NY Hounds, Templars, Kong Kong and Violent Way, you might get somewhere close to the sound of TRAXX — and honestly, how could that possibly not work?
The vinyl is limited to 500 copies, split between black and yellow editions. TRAXX are currently playing mainly around California, but according to Longshot Music, they are also planning European shows in 2027. So make a note of this name and keep an eye on what comes next.
