Coming from Bilbao, Time And Punishment are back with their new release Speak Nice of Us. The Basque band builds their sound around Oi!, punk and rock’n’roll, and delivers five new tracks that get straight to the point.
The tracklist includes “If There Is a Light,” “Glue Tactics,” “Boot Love Story,” “Thinking Out Loud” and “No Fairytale.” The songs are definitely not all cut from the same cloth. Each one sounds original while still feeling familiar, as the band makes good use of the musical ideas and patterns you would expect from the genre. The result is the kind of record that somehow feels familiar from the very first listen.
The whole thing runs for just over twelve minutes, so there is no unnecessary stretching things out – five songs, straight to the point and out. No waiting around and no filler.
Speak Nice of Us was released at the end of September 2026 and was recorded in the Basque towns of Bermeo and Gernika. Ribot Records is handling the physical cassette release.
Time And Punishment already released their first EP I back in May (which somehow slipped past me when it came out), so Speak Nice of Us is their second release of the year. Check out both – together they make for a solid dose of quality music. If you’re into contemporary Oi! with a punk rock and rock’n’roll feeling, this is definitely worth checking out.
There’s no need to overthink this one. Five songs, press play and let’s go.
