The Swedish band Blisterhead are back with a new single and music video, Wake Up

Twenty years ago, I was fascinated by the Swedish music scene and by how many great bands were emerging in Sweden. One of the bands I really enjoyed back then was Blisterhead from Skövde and Falköping.

I still remember the albums Punk Royale from 2003 and Under The City Lights from 2007. Melodic punk rock that will also appeal to fans of the melodic wave of punk rock bands from the USA.

After that, Blisterhead disappeared from my radar for a while, and I missed the fact that they released two more albums – Tumbling Down in 2015 and The Stormy Sea in 2021. This year, however, they returned to my field of vision when I noticed they had released the single Wake Up, followed shortly by a music video.

The single is a preview of the upcoming LP Where We Belong, which will be released February 27 on Sunny Bastards Records. The album release show will take place on March 13 in Gothenburg, with Trouble Makers and The Liptones.
