New York ska and reggae legends The Slackers are back with new material! Pirates Press Records will release their brand new EP Money Is King on November 7th, 2025.

Featuring five songs – four originals, each written by a different band member, and one treat, a cover of the 1935 calypso singer Growling Tiger’s “Money Is King.” It’s already clear that fans are in for a colorful mix of moods and styles, just like the Slackers do.

The EP is released on 12″ vinyl in two limited editions – Gold Nugget (500 copies) and Green Cloudy (500 copies). Both editions also have a special UV print on the B-side with graphics by Catt Gould. Simply a collector’s item, as befits and belongs to Pirates Press Records.

The Slackers follow up on their last album Don’t Let the Sunlight Fool Ya (2022) and prove that they still have something to say. If you want to be there, pre-orders are already running directly from Pirates Press Records.
