Oi!/streetpunk outfit The Clench from Scotland is back with a fresh mini-LP, All Against All, which shows the band has no intention of slowing down. The record will be released by Common People Records. The Clench play straightforward, rough, unpolished, yet melodically catchy Oi! rooted in the British tradition — no modern frills, just honest pressure based on hard riffs, razor-sharp guitar, and choruses meant to be sung along to, whether you’re at a gig or in your living room.
The new mini-LP delivers several short but punchy shots: the title track „All Against All“ runs at a mid-tempo pace with an explosive chorus, „Guillotine“ sounds like the soundtrack to a dirty street protest, and „Shaven Heads“ adds an old-school skinhead feeling that clearly shows the influence of classic UK bands from the nineties. Rough vocals, a solid bass, and drums that drive everything forward make the recording a direct attack on the target.
The mini-LP’s artwork matches the atmosphere of the record: a violent, raw, but iconic motif that perfectly captures the essence of the music—no diplomacy, just the reality of the street and a band that stands firmly behind what it does. All Against All is ideal material for anyone who likes tougher, unpolished Oi! with a British soul and bands that can squeeze maximum energy out of just a few minutes.
For whatever reason, The Clench’s recordings hadn’t crossed my path until now, and I’m glad I stumbled upon this one. The band knows how to write solid songs for those who aren’t used to backing down—give it a try.
