Following the recent single „Boots,“ which shook up the streetpunk scene with its raw energy and guest vocals from Jenny Woo, the wait is finally over. American Oi! powerhouse TAKER has just unleashed their full-length album, titled „Sons and Daughters.“
Released via the veteran label Contra Records, the record perfectly completes the picture the band first painted with their debut single. It’s uncompromising yet melodic, honest streetpunk, featuring veteran musicians from projects like Violent Way, Corvo, Healer, and They Live.
Beyond the high-octane tracks and anthems like „Big Step,“ the album carries a deep emotional weight. The hand-painted cover art was created by their dear friend and tattoo artist, the late Scott Sonner, making the entire album a tribute to his legacy.
If you’re looking for a soundtrack for the gritty reality of the streets, „Sons and Daughters“ is now streaming everywhere, with physical copies on the way.
