Strikt release new single Blåljus

Swedish punk band Strikt from Stockholm comes out with a new single “Blåljus” on Beat Butchers records. Another taste of the upcoming album, another portion of sharp, straightforward punk, as only they can do it – fast-paced, choral choruses and lyrics in Swedish.

Strikt are a relatively new name on the scene, but they have already gained respect thanks to their energetic sound and uncompromising approach. In the past, they have released, for example, the hard-hitting “Trött på det här” and the split Stockholm Brinner with the band Hyrda Knektar (2024, Beat Butchers).

The band is betting on what makes punk punk – short and hard songs, sung with commitment and without unnecessary frills. “Blåljus” shows that Strikt have a clear direction: the tradition of Swedish and British punk of the eighties, but with fresh energy and their own face.

If you enjoy punk with a real kick, the new release from Strikt is the right thing.
