Prague’s SCOOP are back with a new release, and this time they’re coming straight out with their debut full-length. Malicious Intensive Deformation was released digitally on September 11th via Crocodile King, a sublabel of Pushteek, and delivers ten tracks of hard-hitting hardcore punk.
SCOOP have been around for about four years now, and in that time they’ve released the Curb Justice EP and a few smaller releases, played several European tours, and built a reputation as a band that can unleash absolute hardcore hell on stage. Malicious Intensive Deformation is their first full-length and another important step forward in their journey.
The album is short, intense, and doesn’t waste time with unnecessary detours. Nine of the ten tracks are in English and deal with frustration, fear, violence, power, and a general sense of hopelessness. The closing track, “Naděje Upadá,” is in Czech and features MC Gey, who brings his distinctive style to the song, giving it a completely different feeling and taking it somewhere else entirely. Another guest on the album is Adéla from Xarkov 7, who appears on “Die Alone,” where the contrast between the female and male vocals works perfectly.
The recording was handled entirely by AMAK from Golden Hive Studio in Prague, who recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered the album. The artwork was created by Lord Serus.
Malicious Intensive Deformation is available digitally, with limited vinyl editions also available for those who still like to have their music in physical form. The physical release party will take place on September 16th, 2026 at Klub 007 Strahov in Prague, and shortly afterwards the band will hit the road for a European tour to spread their message.
SCOOP are currently one of the Czech bands that can easily compete with the best the international hardcore scene has to offer. So support them, buy the record, and, ideally, catch them live somewhere. That’s where this band is at their absolute best.
