I’ve discovered another interesting band from Slovakia that’s really caught my attention, and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on them! Revisors from Bratislava are back with a new single, “Medzi nás,” accompanied by a music video. Their sound is built around catchy power-pop melodies, garage rock’n’roll and, in this case, a seriously distorted bass. Nothing complicated, just guitar-driven music with plenty of punch that gets the job done.
The new song was written by guitarist and vocalist Martin “Bellcanto” Domáň. The distorted bass gives it its own character and a proper rock’n’roll kick. The band had already been testing “Medzi nás” live before its release, and the positive audience reactions eventually convinced them to make it their next single. At four and a half minutes, it’s unusually long for this kind of music, but there’s always something going on, so boredom definitely isn’t an option.
The band shot the music video themselves, this time in a professional studio using a green screen. The visuals complement the song’s atmosphere, and there’s something about the video that gives me a bit of a Mod vibe.
Revisors have previously released the singles “Tie oči” and “Keď príde ráno,” so go check those out as well – they’re both worth your time. The guys are currently working on their debut album, too. If you’re into melodic guitar music with a garage sound and rock’n’roll energy, and, like me, have a soft spot for the Slovak language, Revisors might be right up your street. The single “Medzi nás” and its accompanying music video are out now!
