An interesting hardcore-punk band comes from Guatemala City: NESCIO. And let’s be honest, how many bands from Guatemala can you actually name? This bunch have been around since 2022, and this July they released their new EP Sigo Vivo. The record features five tracks.
NESCIO stick to raw and straightforward hardcore-punk without any unnecessary frills. Sigo Vivo is all about energy, anger and a DIY approach. No polished production and no attempt to please everyone – just straight-up hardcore-punk. It moves along nicely, and I can easily imagine this band raising hell in a packed little club.
The band also released the album Nada Que Perder in 2024, so if you dig the EP, you can keep going in that direction.
