Murphy’s Law returns after 24 years with new single „Go, Jimmy, Go!“

New York legend Murphy’s Law is back – and in a big way. After twenty-four years of silence regarding new studio work, they are back with a fresh single “Go, Jimmy, Go!”. It was released on October 18, 2025 and makes it clear that Jimmy G. and co. still know how to make honest, noisy and fun hardcore punk with a crossover spice. “Go, Jimmy, Go!” has been released digitally so far – you can find it on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.

The song sounds exactly as you would expect from Murphy’s Law: pissed off, but at the same time full of energy, booze, chaos and New York perspective. Exactly the mix that has set the band apart from the rest of the NYHC party from the beginning. And that’s not all. The band announced that they are preparing a new album – their first since 2001’s The Party’s Over. According to their own words, it is almost finished and should contain 19 new songs, guest guitarists and vocalists and, of course, a vinyl release. The album has reportedly been in the works since spring and is now finishing mixing, mastering and packaging. “We’re so close to having all 19 new songs done! Still some more work to do! Very special guests on guitar and vocals. Mixing. Mastering. Cover Art. Pressing cool vinyl. Then it’s done!” – the band tells their fans. Murphy’s Law, the band that has been proving since 1982 that hardcore can be as fun as it is wild, is back in great shape.

After all those years that Jimmy has been touring the world and holding the NYHC banner even without new recordings, this is a comeback that has balls. So grab a beer, put on “Go, Jimmy, Go!” and look forward to a full-fledged album. Murphy’s Law are back – and the world is a little happier and noisier again.
