Portland-based American street punk legends Defiance have teamed up with Japanese „clockwork punk“ veterans Hat Trickers to release a joint split LP.

Released in August 2025, this record is the perfect union of two legends who have been in the scene for decades. Both bands, although they come from opposite corners of the world (Portland vs. Tokyo), share an uncompromising dedication to punk rock. Each band has its own side to the record. My favorites are Defiance with their street punk sound.

The publisher of this split is the label PNV Records. The record is partially available digitally, but mainly on vinyl in several color versions. Don’t miss this meeting of two greats!
