KNOCK OFF: „The Game’s Gone“ – Punk Trio Targets Modern Football

The British trio KNOCK OFF is returning with a theme close to the hearts of many Oi! music fans. The band shared a teaser on social media for a new song addressing the current state of the „beautiful game“. Under the telling title „The Game’s Gone,“ Knock Off takes aim at the greed dominating the world of football.

„Our beautiful game is run by greedy people who have pound signs rather than glory in their hearts,“ the band stated to their fans. According to the band, owners, managers, and the players themselves are completely out of touch with what the game means to normal working people in the stands.

This raw critique of the modern football business will be featured on a new album scheduled for release later this year. KNOCK OFF, who have been active since 2013 and draw influence from the early 80s U.K. punk scene, promise another dose of their typical energy, anger, and „stick in your head“ choruses.

If you are a fan with a heart, this will be the perfect anthem for you. Stay tuned for updates—the new record is coming soon!
