DEZERTER: Polish punk legends return with new album „Wolny wybieg“

One of the most essential bands in Polish punk history, Warsaw’s Dezerter, is back in the spotlight. For anyone in the punk underground who might have missed them, this is a band founded in 1981 in Warsaw, originally under the name SS-20. They are among the pioneers of Polish hardcore punk, and during the 1980s, their lyrics served as a vital voice against the regime of the time. Even after more than 40 years on the scene, Dezerter maintains their ferocity, raw sound, and the ability to strike at the heart of today’s pressing issues.

Following a five-year hiatus since their last studio album, they have announced a new release titled „Wolny wybieg“, set to be released on February 13, 2026, via Mystic Production.

As a first taste, the band released the title single accompanied by a music video, which premiered in mid-January. In it, Dezerter remains true to their reputation as uncompromising social critics. The lyrics of „Wolny wybieg“ (which translates to „Free Range“) perfectly puncture contemporary reality—the comfortable illusion of freedom, digital control, and a life dictated by algorithms.

For fans and collectors, the album will be available on both Vinyl and CD.
