The punk scene has a new spark. A brand new project Crimewave 66 is coming into the world, bringing together seasoned players – Matt Freeman (Rancid, Operation Ivy), Rob Milucky (Die Hunns) and Joel Ronamoe and Von Huber.
The band presents itself as “punk moto rippers” – hard, dirty and kicking punk with the energy of a full-throttle motorcycle ride. The first concerts are planned for the fall in the USA and according to available information, the band has recorded several new songs at the Pot O’ Gold studio. The biggest news is the release of the debut EP “Crimewave”, which has just been released on Spotify.
The fresh songs represent the band in full force – from the dense sound of the bass to the dirty guitars. Crimewave 66 is proof that the punk veterans have not yet said their last word and can come with new strength. Raw, no frills, no compromises. The bass roars like an old Harley engine, the guitars cut like razor blades and the vocals have just the right amount of dirt.
Just the thing to go with a can of beer and a craving for noise.
