City Saints Drop a New Load: End of the Road for Santa!

Swedish street-punk powerhouse City Saints recently dropped an older single that’s guaranteed to ruffle the cozy Christmas atmosphere. The track, titled „I Hope Santa Dies,“ is uncompromising, fast, and packed with raw energy. The band, active on the scene since 2012, decided on a full-blown attack on commercial holidays just ahead of the festive season. This song appeared in 2014 on the compilation Cashing In On Christmas Volume 6, where you can find many other Christmas-themed songs.

This three-minute banger is direct and clear, serving as the perfect soundtrack for anyone sick of holiday kitsch. The single’s visual artwork clearly suggests that City Saints aren’t here to mess around: Santa is flying over a cemetery on the cover, perfectly underlining the band’s untamed and dark humor. If you’re looking for a punk injection to wake you up from a sugar coma, you shouldn’t miss „I Hope Santa Dies.“

Beyond this track, be sure to dive into the band’s older classics, such as „Guns of Gothenburg“ or the true anthem „Kicking Ass for the Working Class.“ City Saints are back, and they are delivering exactly the rock ‚n‘ roll we need for Christmas.
