American street punks Charged Youth are back with a new release. This time, the band have dropped their first-ever live album, Live And Charged.

Released on July 25, the record features seven live tracks. Charged Youth show what they are all about on stage, running through pretty much their entire repertoire. The set also includes the cover “Crucified” and the crowd-pleaser “Nobody Kares”.

Charged Youth operate somewhere between street punk and Oi!. Their music is built around short, punchy songs, catchy choruses and a seriously pissed-off energy. The live recording gives their material another dimension, and their youth, energy and sheer joy of playing live practically burst out of the speakers.

Live And Charged is another step forward for a band that only appeared on the scene recently but certainly isn’t wasting any time. Following last year’s The Basement Demo and this year’s single What Do You Believe?, the new live record shows Charged Youth exactly the way street punk should sound – loud, direct and with no unnecessary bullshit.
