Californian all-girl punk rock quartet Bad Cop/Bad Cop is back with a new album. The album is titled Bad Cop/Bad Cop have a new album Lighten Up and was released on September 19, 2025 by Fat Wreck Chords in collaboration with Hopeless Records.

Bad Cop/Bad Cop have been active since 2011 and are one of the most distinctive bands of contemporary melodic punk, relying on energetic guitars, strong choruses and distinctive vocal harmonies, which give the band something extra on stage. The new album is their fourth full-length album and, according to the band, brings a more personal perspective on topics such as life’s challenges, losses, but also hope and the strength to keep going.

With the release of the album, the band is also embarking on a European tour – from October to November 2025 they will play in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia and other countries. Bad Cop/Bad Cop are back – these girls still have something to say, and Lighten Up promises to be the record that takes them even further.
